I made a rug! I enlisted the help of the carpentry dream team better known as amy and tessa. I was inspired by this post. In total I spent $50 and got an awesome area rug! I had some problems along the way especially with painting. I bought a cheap set of brushes that all broke within the first 5 minutes of painting. Due to a lack of proper paint roller I had to hand paint the 6’x9’ rug, which took 4 hours…when i peeled off the tape this morning i realized all the trouble was well worth it.

at our local farmers’ market we met a woman named marita who works for the organization Hope to Home for Cats. She was so moved by mama’s story that she decided that she wants to take mama in, which means that we’ll be saying goodbye to mama sometime next week.
