birthday part 1.

Life has changed rapidly in the pat month. I started a new job, and celebrated my birthday. I always knew that work was going to be hard, but sometimes it just feels completely overwhelming. I spent the first week and half coming home and crying myself to sleep. Thank goodness for Zubear and my sweet friends for calming me down, and helping me remember that it’s going to take some time to acclimate to the ICU.

I had a great birthday weekend. It was perfect. Zuhair rented us a house in Silverlake! Not only was it beautiful- it was also stocked with my favorite bath products, a super comfortable bed, and a copy of my favorite woody allen movie! I woke up on my birthday to super cute confetti that was rigged to my bedroom door, a homemade birthday banner, my favorite macaron cake, a table full of sweet gifts, the radio blasting ” Whole Love”, and the sweetest man ever, giving my the biggest hug ever…it is a memory that I will cherish. I love all the gifts Zuhair gave me. After we ate breakfast we packed up and headed out to Los Angeles.

Once we arrived at our house we headed out to eat at chef michael voltaggio’s ink sack. It was delicious! Zuhair and I are foodies so we were super excited to spend the weekend eating. We spent the day roaming around eating lunch, eating ice cream, shopping, and the eventually made our way over to lacma. Zuhair and I love art museums…it was such a pleasant afternoon. We grabbed dinner at my favorite restaurant forage, and then headed back to our place. We spent the rest of the night drinking wine, fancy beers, and watching movies. perfecto.

The next morning we had brunch at Canele! It was so delicious….my favorite birthday meal. Grapefruit mimosas, Meyer lemon curd baked pancakes, bacon, eggs, lamill coffee- SOOOOO GOOOD!!! After brunch we headed to the caves to explore, went shopping in los feliz, and picked up juice from pressed.

I love how thoughtful Zuhair is. He really went out of his way to make sure I had the best time ever. He is amazing. I love him so much it hurts.
