a merry mishap.
i had the best sleep last night…10 hours! i’ve been so sleepy lately. most nights i’m ready to crawl into bed by 7pm and have to struggle to stay awake long enough to eat dinner. yesterday zuhair found me asleep (mouth wide open) with lecture notes still in my hands.

i spent the week housesitting for my dad while he was in portland. i had the hardest time falling asleep in my old bedroom. i spent the week watching terrible television shows in bed until the wee hours of the night, snuggling with my pups, and making hodgepodge meals with my friend amy.
i’m reminded of how thoughtful my dad is every time i open my bedroom window. my dad planted trumpet...

bon weekend.
this weekend was nice. amy came over one night for dinner…and gave me an iphone!!! it’s always nice to relax with good friends.
i miss and love all my friends…
zuhair made the best impromptu dinner: brown rice blend with asparagus, leeks, garlic, veggie chicken, and freshly grated parmesan.

if really felt like spring at the los angeles arboretum last friday. everything was in full bloom and the weather was ideal. we packed up some sandwiches and had ourselves a lil’ picnic on a park bench. afterwards we soaked up some sun we headed over to pasadena for dinner and a movie<3
i had my first day in the ICU and it was the best! i think i finally may have found my place.

looks like i’m about to embark on a very busy three months…not looking forward to it.

my dear friend belia is having a baby boy! last weekend we got together and celebrated the new edition. It was great catching up with friends…i love them & i can’t wait to meet the little in belia’s belly.

seinfeld, weddings, and macarons.
happy macaron day! i’m celebrating the day by enjoying a delicious macaron aux framboises cake <3
zuhair and i went to our first fancy comedy show at the pantages theater last friday. we saw jerry seinfeld! it was an amazing night full of laughs (plus a drink or two).
the next day we headed out to santa monica for a wedding. it was such a beautiful wedding-wish i took more pictures....

the only love is a lonely love.
we’ve been in los angeles a bunch in the past week. to celebrate the beginning of my spring break we decided to go watch islands play at the bootleg theater. i’ve been listening to them on repeat for the last month so you can guess how excited i was to see that they were playing their only los angeles show on the day of my last final…i believe that’s what they call kismet.

next week i have finals. i can not wait till this quarter is over. although babies + pregnant ladies+ children are great, i definitely do not foresee myself working with them in the future.
as the quarter is winding down, zu and i are both gearing up for our spring breaks. i’m debating whether or not i should try to squeeze a trip in to sf or portland…decisions.

zuhair surprised me on friday with tickets to john hodgman, zach galifianakis, jason schwartzman, and jonathan ames. date night… it was such a pleasant treat.
we found a new coffee shop called coffee commissary. the coffee was excellent and so were the homemade banana muffins.
we dinner at RFD. we had so much food & so much wine… everything there is so tasty.

tuesday: impromptu date
today we decided to pack up and spend the day in pasadena. we spent most of the afternoon studying at intelligentsia…they serve beer and wine now! after we finished studying we rewarded ourselves with a couple of adult beverages and spent the night walking around. it was a much needed break from our busy schedules. i love dates with my boyfriend <3:
