tuesday: impromptu date
today we decided to pack up and spend the day in pasadena. we spent most of the afternoon studying at intelligentsia…they serve beer and wine now! after we finished studying we rewarded ourselves with a couple of adult beverages and spent the night walking around. it was a much needed break from our busy schedules. i love dates with my boyfriend <3:

i love flowers. i seek any and every occasion to have flowers around me and in my home.
getting surprised with a bouquet of my favorite flowers is the best… especially when there is no special occasion & it comes with a deliciously refreshing bottle of specialty root beer.

it's just that you're my best friend.
zuhair and i decided that we should create the most interesting meal we could think of using only the ingredients available in our fridge. this is what we came up with: roasted brussels sprouts and apple salad, whole wheat pasta with homemade marinara, and flourless almond butter cookies for dessert.

I’ve been sick as a dog for the past couple of days. the joys of pediatrics. you give babies love and they repay you with gnarly viruses. i spent monday napping/vomiting in between classes…no bueno. zuhair decided to take over and do all of the cooking for our valentine’s day dinner .

huh.
i’ve been so busy lately. i’ve had zero time to relax…i’m sleepy and i need a haircut. i’ve been trying to make time for extracurricular activities but it’s been hard. i started painting again. zuahair, mo (mohair) and i had a bunch of fun at the wilco show. it was nice to relax, listen to music, and dance with my man.
